William’s Travels is a close fitting cowl able to be worn by adults or children, although it will not be a close fit on a child. It will utilise a single 100gm skein of DK weight yarn well without creating yardage chicken; which makes it perfect for those special gradient or colour change yarns.

Gauge is 26 stitches per 10cm on 4.5 mm needles in cable pattern.

I worked this on a 60cm length circular needle and it was do-able but only just as the cowl is designed to be 60cm round. I would thoroughly recommend using a 40cm length circular needle.

This is a simple but effective use of cabling, I would recommend it from advanced beginner or even just an adventurous beginner looking to try cables for the first time.

Thanks to my testers who put in their time and yarn and expertise into helping me release this pattern!
