I started knitting these mittens sitting outside by the paddock and looking at our baby donkey Willow playing with her mother, thus the name for the mittens.

WILLOW mittens start with a tubular cast on and a double-knit cuff (both eaplained in the pattern), that fits snuggly around your wrist and does not let the mittens slide off your hand easily, and feature a cable design running along the front of the mitten.
