Willowbrae is a warm and comforting triangular shawl which is quick and easy to make in double knitting yarn. The main body of the shawl features a pattern resembling paths zigzagging through trees, and plenty of yarn overs create lightness like shafts of sunlight through the canopy. The border is a leaf design, and the whole shawl is knitted in one piece from the top down, with both charts or full written instructions to work from as you prefer. The pattern repeat for the body is just 5 stitches so it’s easy to memorise, and with patterning only on the right side it’s very suitable for a beginner to lace knitting. Willowbrae is 158cm/62 inches wide, and 76cm/30 inches deep.
