The Wiltshire Sweater has an oversized fit and features a high-definition cable along a dropped saddle-shoulder construction. The cable continues from the shoulders seamlessly down the sleeve. A special technique is used to create a cable that pops out the sweater.

The sweater is worked from the top down. First the left and right shoulders are worked. Stitches are then picked up along the back edges of the shoulders and stitches cast on between them to work back and forth with short-row shaping. Stitches are then picked up along the front edges of the shoulders and worked back and forth whilst shaping the neckline before joining. The front is then joined to the back at the underarms and worked in the round until the desired length is achieved. The body is finished with ribbing. Sleeve stitches are picked up around the armhole to work with the stitches put on hold during the shoulder construction; short rows are worked to provide the perfect drape to the shoulders, followed by decreases to taper the sleeves whilst working in the round before finishing with ribbing. Finally, stitches are picked up around the neck edge to work the final ribbing.
