My boys love the Diary of a Wimpy Kid books. They read them over and over … The stitch pattern for this sock is a modified version of a stitch pattern called Hurdles. The books are about a boy in middle school, and there are lots of hurdles when you’re 13 years old.

This sock was designed with my boys and nephew in mind for the February 2016 SKA Literary Challenge. The stitch pattern uses lace, but the eyelets are closed up by working them through the back loop to make the socks more “masculine” (blue/green version).

You can easily make your sock feminine by leaving the eyelets open (orange version).

Yardage approx. 360 (380, 400, 420) yds
