“… a tumbleweed slowly making its way across a desolate landscape…”
These words from the TFDF call for submission inspired this design. Wind Witch is another word for tumbleweed. The solid stitch pattern symbolizes the earth and the road, and lacy wheels stir up notions of going where the wind will take you. No specific edging is added to this shawl to preserve the raw simplicity of it. Just like nature, it doesn’t need embellishments.*
