During her first ballet class, my little girl blissfully twirled and scampered with her fellow tutu-clad classmates. It was an adorable scene, but there was one thing missing - legwarmers. I immediately got to work, and created this fun and functional design, Windermere Legwarmers.

The legwarmers are knitted in the round using double pointed needles or using the magic loop method. The pattern begins and ends with a 1 x1 rib. The central panel is an all over cable design with three increase rows. The pattern includes instructions for two sizes: toddler (12 to 36 months) and child (3 to 5 years).

The legwarmers require 150 - 200 grams of DK weight yarn. The pattern recommends US size 4 (3.5mm) and US size 6 (4.0mm) needles.

I would like to personally thank loudoh, laceydeb, okimom, sew42mom, rollacameron, and beyourself for testing this pattern and providing invaluable feedback. Huge thanks also to curiousjeny and CatBordhi for their kind permission to link to the fabulous Jeny’s Surprisingly Stretchy Bind Off.
