The Winding Road headband is a simple, cable project. A great gift for knitters who want to try cables for the first time. The headband would make a lovely gift for friends and family.
Most aran/worsted weight yarn will work for this project. I used Hayfield Bonus Aran yarn. The width of the headband will be approximately 4 inches when blocked. This pattern is knitted flat using straight needles. It is an excellent pattern for beginners.

20 sts and 24 rows to measure 10 x 10cm (4 x 4 inches) using the 5mm needles in pattern
