A special request coaster (and companion pattern of
“PurrPETual Domestic Supervisor”)—this coaster is
also great for gifting. Worked in mosaic garter stitch
with two contrasting color yarns—it’s a fun and fast
way to use up small quantities of DK weight yarn.
Gauge and dimensions are provided in a soft,
absorbent cotton-­‐milk fiber blend. Meowk?

Mosaic garter stitch involves garter (knit) and slipped stitches using one strand of yarn for two rows at a time (switching color strands every two rows). If you can knit stripes and slip stitches it will be easy.

Use contrasting solid colors or try semi-solid/tonal yarn for one of the colors. As long as the contrasting and main colors contrast well, the pattern will reveal itself. The pattern includes two (positive and negative) charts along with full written instructions.
