Inspired by the Floating in the Blue colourway from Tippy Tree Yarns’ Winnie the Pooh collection, these cabled socks are meant to represent the wind playfully swirling around and blowing in big gusts!

This is a top/cuff down sock pattern.

This pattern includes instructions for 3 sizes (S 56 stitches, M 64 stitches, and Large 72 stitches).

Also included are modifications for a shortie version, as well as options for an alternate cuff and heel flap.

Yarn and notions:

Yarn: 100g Fingering weight
Sample in Super Sock, by Tippy Tree Yarns
Colourway Floating in the Blue

Needles: 2.5mm (or 2.75mm, or 2.75mm) with long cable for magic loop (or 9 inch circulars, or dpns if preferred).

Please note that cabling tightens your knitting. It is highly recommended to use at least 2.5mm needles for this pattern, and to go up to 2.75 mm (or even 3mm) if you are a tight knitter. It is also suggested that you try on the sock regularly to ensure you are happy with the fit.

Gauge: 8 sts per 1 inch in stockinette stitch.

Notions: stitch marker, cable needle, needle for grafting and scissors.
