Winnie is a children’s beanie written for a smooth, soft and bouncy 8ply (dk) merino yarn, of which kids will also approve. It uses twisted knit stitches to outline the squares of the hat.

The pattern was named after my grandmother, who knitted a baby sweater for my son that started my love of crepe merino yarn like that shown in the images.

The example are worked in Crucci Luxury Merino Crepe 100% Wool 100m per 20grams, colours Dove Grey and Duck Egg.
