The Westie that has been crocheted for this pattern, uses a mix of different brands of double knit yarn. Any brand of double-knit will work for this pattern.

Stylecraft light pink for the ears 5g
Blush pink for the collar approx 5g
Small amount of black for the nose.
Polyester toy stuffing
Eyes 24mm (plastic safety eyes or glass looped eyes).
Fake eyelashes (optional)
