The Winter Blizz Shawl is the second shawl in the series Four Seasons Four Shawls. I’ll be designing one shawl for each season, celebrating the best of each season, using different shapes, stitches and colours. The Autumn Blizz Shawl was the first release in September 2020. Spring Blizz Shawl will be released in March 2021, and the Summer Blizz Shawl in June 2021.

The Winter Blizz Shawl is a unique shaped shawl, worked top down, building up small squares over 4 rows. On every 4th row you are decreasing by two squares, one on each side, until you have only one square left at the bottom.

If you want to soften the squares, the pattern also gives you an option to work a lovely border made by clusters and picots.

The shawl measure 150 cm. You can adjust the size of the shawl by adding more squares at the beginning.

I recommend using fingering yarn weight, and a hook size 1,5 - 2 mm larger hook than required to get a nice drape.

A color changing yarn cake will be perfect for this pattern, also merino, alpaca, cotton and linen yarn will be great.

The pattern has a chart, pictures and a written instruction.

My testers said it was a fun and relaxing pattern to make!

I recommend the pattern for adventurous beginners/intermediate crocheters.
