Winter Comforts for Servicewomen
The Australian Women’s Weekly co-operates with the Australian Comforts Fund in presenting a series of hand-knit garments with directions for women in the Services. THIS week directions are given for scarf and mittens.
Scarf
MATERIALS Required: 3oz. 4-ply wool, 2 No. 10 needles (loose knitters use No. 11 needles to produce a firm tension).
Mittens
MATERIALS Required: 2oz. 4-ply wool for 1 pair. Four No. 12 needles. (Loose knitters must use No. 13 needles to produce a firm tension.)
Sleevless pullover, gloves, over-socks, and balaclava will be published from time to time.
