Construction
Winter Folk Friends are knit in one piece from the bottom-up. The doll’s body can be knit flat on straight needles and seamed, or knit in the round on dpns. Simple sewing techniques are used to define the arms and legs after knitting. The cloak is worked flat and seamed. Fast and fun to knit, these dolls are designed to be sturdy, safe, and perfect for even the littlest hands to hold.

Gauge
Exact gauge is not important. Choose a needle 2 or 3 sizes smaller than recommended on the ball band to create a dense fabric that will keep the stuffing hidden. Knit the cloak using the needle size recommended on your ball band for a fabric with a nice drape.

Skills Required
You will need to be able to read a chart and be familiar with stranded knitting to complete the cloak.
