1 ball of the merino and one ball of soft silk mohair held together. Please feel fry to substitute with any yarn that you like.

I’ve experimented quite a bit with this pattern over the last two years. Different needle sizes, larger ribbings and shorter ones, adding a store bought pom pom, home made pom pom or no pom pom and repeating the leafy lace motive whilst making the decreases and leaving it out. Some came out a little oversized and others more snug. No matter the alterations however the lace pattern has always stood out beautiful! The needle size and ribbing length in this pattern is the one that for me fits and looks best. However please feel free to adjust to your preference.
The beanie is knit in one piece. Begins with a rib, followed by the lace part that keeps getting narrower.
