I designed this cardigan pattern because I wanted a snuggly, open front cardigan that wouldn’t fall off the shoulders for the long winter nights. This cardigan is worked from the top down in a boxy construction, with a tapper sleeve worked in the round. It is completely seamless and the collar is worked at the same time as the body, so there is no need to pick up stitches for a collar/button band. When picking up stitches for the fronts and sleeves, you will be picking up stitches on the wrong side to make an intentionally exposed seam. Pockets are included in the instructions, but feel free to omit them if you prefer, moving directly to the hem.
