Winter Rose Wrap is a generous size, rectangle shaped, wrap knit with 4 skeins of fingering weight yarn. When you start knitting the wrap, you first knit the centre triangle. Once that´s finished, you will work each side of the wrap separately. Winter Rose Wrap is a special advent collaboration with Beehive Yarns ♥

YARN
- 4 skeins of Beehive Yarns Dusty (80% Superwash Merino, 10% Nylon, 10% Cashmere; approx. 400m 437yds per 100g), in 4 different colours (1 skein per colour), or approximately the following amounts of fingering weight yarn in each colour:
Colour 1: 310m/339yds
Colour 2: 340m/372yds
Colour 3: 420m/459yds
Colour 4: 360m/394yds
NOTE: all my skeins were “oversized”, weighing between 110g-111g each, so in case your skeins are exactly 100g, you might need a little bit of extra for Colour 3. Alternately you can use what ever colours you have left in the striped section of each wing, or work less stripes.

SIZE
- Approx. 235cm / 94” long at the neck edge, approx. 134cm / 53.5” long at the lower edge & approx. 49,5cm / 20” wide at the centre of the “spine”.

NEEDLES
- 3,5mm US4 circular needles (100cm/40” or longer), or size needed to get gauge.

GAUGE

  • approx. 19sts & 40 rows = 10cm/4” in garter stitch, after blocking.
  • gauge is not crucial since this is a shawl, but different gauge will affect the size of the shawl and the amount of yarn needed.

NOTIONS

  • tapestry needle for weaving in the ends
  • 2 stitch markers
