Knit yourself a cozy and functional cardi in less time than a pair of socks!

An elegant take on the puffy body warmer, the Winter Smock is perfect for working in a chilly environment. The thick chunky knit warms the core, while the cropped hem and sleeves keep out of the way when bending over and working with your hands. Ideal for gardening, lighting the fire, and of course sewing and painting in a cold studio.

This cardigan is worked in garter stitch, top-down, seamlessly, in the flat. Suitable for adventurous beginners and beyond, this pattern works with both solid and variegated yarns.
