Winter Sunrise by Mary Joyce Wilson

Winter Sunrise

This pattern is available for free

Bright and fluffy, just like a sunrise over newly fallen snow. It’s also super warm- perfect for romping about in any winter wonderland… even if there isn’t a snowflake in sight.

The gauge really isn’t that important- I used size 15 needles and am very happy with the result. Cast on as many stitches as you want the scarf wide- I think mine was something like 23 stitches across. (I could be making that up though- at the moment it’s at my parents’ house in Maryland, so I’ll have to investigate into this matter next time I’m up there.)

This scarf is very basic- just garter knit in a combination of Paton’s Divine (in “orangina”), Paton’s Lacette (in light purple), and Big Loop (in a sunrise-y colorway).

The blog that this was published in has since been deleted, and I’m working on putting together a pdf for anyone who wants to make this, so I apologize if that’s caused anyone any inconvenience.

Seriously though, it’s an easy-peasy pattern to figure out on your own and I think anyone who’s made their way to Ravelry would be up for the task. :)
