Cowls… They are so fun to make, so warm to wear, yet taking photos of them is so hard… I hope you’ll approve of my creative styling, I just love the stitch pattern so much, I really wanted to show it off!

The Winter Trails Cowl was designed on the go…
There was a time last year when I needed something light and easy to carry with me, and I really wanted to play with these 3 colors. It is worked in the round using stripes and a very easy mosaic stitch pattern.

Approx. 22 inches (55 cm) circumference and 22½ inches (56 cm) long.

3 skeins of Sock Lite by Olann (80% Superwash Merino / 20% Nylon; 464y (425m) /100g), 1 skein in colors A= Boann (Speckled Purple); B= North Star (Speckled Cream; C= Damson (Purple). Approx. 280 yards (256 m) of fingering weight yarn in color A; 280 yards (256 m) in color B and 250 yards (228 m) in color C.
Needles: US 3 (3.25 mm) needles.
Other notions: Tapestry needle, stitch marker, blocking pins or wires.

28 st and 32 rows to 4” (10cm) in Stockinette st on US 3 (3.25 mm) needles after blocking.
