casting off, the first front panel is worked top-down. The second front panel is knit top-down after casting off the first panel and reconnecting working yarn. Stitches for the armholes are picked up from the outer edge of the garment and worked in the round. Stitches for the neckband are picked up from the inner edge of the garment and worked flat.
