I designed this pattern (my first!) for the Alpaca Spinner in Norfolk, UK, who hand spins the most wonderful Alpaca yarn. In addition to the yarn (available in natural Alpaca colours, mine is a soft grey/brown), for which you will need three balls, you also need approximately 20-25 buttons (of different sizes). I used natural shell buttons to compliment the natural handspun yarn and colour. They do make the scarf quite heavy but you could use different buttons for a lighter feel. The yarn is wonderful, do buy some.
