Cold hands are one of the worst things I can imagine. That is why mittens make their first appearance early in autumn and remain a constant companion throughout the winter months. Over the years, I have developed a special fondness for hand-knitted mittens in pure wool, which become denser, warmer, and more comfortable the more they are worn.

So let the winter winds come—because as long as you have these mittens on your hands, you will stay warm and comfortable.

Size: Women’s size
Yarn: Finull from Rauma Garn
Needle size: 2 mm needles, or the size needed to obtain the correct gauge
Yarn requirements: approximately 50 g of the main colour and approximately 50 g of the contrast colour
Gauge: 31 stitches and 31 rows in stranded colourwork on 2 mm needles = 10 cm
Colours: 482 Midnight Blue and 400 White

Å vere kald på hendene er noko av det verste eg veit. Derfor kjem vottane fram tidleg på hausten og er fast følgje gjennom heile vinteren. Og gjennom åra har eg blitt spesielt glad i heimestrikka vottar i rein ull, som blir tettare og varmare jo meir du brukar dei. Så kan berre vintervinden kome, for så lenge du har desse vottane på hendene, held du deg god og varm.
