On a cold, crisp winter’s day I love nothing more than wrapping up in soft, warm knitwear. This hood was inspired by my love of cosy warmth, but also my longing during winter’s long dreary days for a touch of whimsy and romance. This heavily cabled hood is snug and warm, whilst also adding a Winter Wonderland feel to an everyday need to keep warm.
The hood features a chunky 14 stitch cables on a ground of stocking stitch that creates a great deal of texture, almost bringing the stitches of the fabric over on top of themselves, this adds a great deal of textural interest and is much easier to achieve than might be imagined.
