Winter Woods is seamlessly knit from the top down in the round. The colorwork begins with gentle swags of pine boughs and moves to a gentle smattering of little snowflakes (or kitty pawprints depending on how you look at them!). A large, impactful snowflakes is the star of the yoke. After the large snowflakes, little flecks of snow drift down onto the body and sleeves. Short rows are used to shape the back neck just below the neckline. Winter Woods is knit in an unspun yarn, which creates a lofty, woolly sweater. You can substitute a worsted weight yarn if you do not want to use unspun yarn. A woolen spun yarn will be the most similar to unspun.
