Winter ZigZag Sweater
This pattern is a simple, beginners jumper which is sure to look cute on a cold winters day! The pattern features basic colourwork where any two colours can be picked, making for a unisex jumper in your child’s favourite colours.
Sizes:
0 - 6 months. 18” chest circumference
6 - 12 months. 19” chest circumference
1-2 years. 20” chest circumference
2-4 years. 22” chest circumference
The tension required for this pattern using DK wool and 4 mm (UK8 – USA6) needles is 20 sts and 28 rows to 10 cm (4in) for stockinette stitch (K row, P row).
Check your tension, as it is essential for success – if less sts use a thinner needle, if more use a thicker needle.
Yarn:
100g James C Brett Baby Shimmer DK in lilac
100g James C Brett Baby Shimmer DK in white
- note: the contrasting colour is only for the colourwork segments (roughly 18 rows of the pattern) and therefore a 100g ball will be far in excess of what is needed.
