“It was a full moon and, shining on all the snow, it made everything almost as bright as day -- only the shadows were rather confusing.”
― C.S. Lewis, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe

When I was younger, I would spend four days every winter at Camp Foster YMCA of the Okobojis for Snowfest, which in recent years has had a name change to Winterfest because Iowa winters are very unpredictable. Some years there was plenty of snow for Snowfest and some years there was no sign of the white stuff. I named these mitts Winterfest because I feel like the colors and pattern envelope everything I know about Winterfest, whether there is snow or not. The deep ravines that run through camp are in the mitts, the prairies on the edge of camp are in the mitts, and the snow--we mustn’t forget the snow!
