My favorite video game of all time is The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. I have spent more hours playing that game than doing almost anything else (except crochet, of course!) In Skyrim, there is a small town at the top of a mountain that contains a Mage’s college. It’s so cold in this village that if you are not properly bundled up, your health will decrease! The town’s name is Winterhold, where I found the inspiration for this giant, cozy shawl.

Using bulky yarn and a 9 mm hook, the Winterhold Shawl works up quickly and has ultimate squish! This is a triangle shawl that is worked flat in turned rows from the top down.
