Wintering cap is inspired by the folk textiles of the Russian North, especially by the Komi knitting tradition.

The pattern seems to be complex, but it is delightfully easy to knit. The cap is unisex with a deep, “hugging” fit.

The cap is constructed without a customary ribbing. It has an inner fold for warmth and styling.

The project will make a one-of-a-kind practical gift. Also, it is a great occasion to bust your yarn stash, because the
instructions include the yarn substitution guidelines.

Total yarn needed: 50-80g of different colors in fingering (light weight) yarn.

The charts are given for SM, MD, LG sizes with 2 crown styles.
