This beautiful, rustic cowl is a stranded repeat design, knit in the round with ribbed edges. Knitting in the round means there are no ends to weave in as you go along, apart from the ends from the cast on and cast off edges.

Materials

75grams colour - olive - fingering weight
75 grams colour - natural with tweedy flecks - fingering weight

Size 2.75mm needles – Circular needles to knit in the round all in one.

Gauge

There are two sizes: medium and large. This affects only the width, not the length of the cowl. Gauge is stated but you don’t have to be strict with it as it’s not a fitted garment.

If you wish to use different needles and yarn bear in mind the following: If knit in thinner yarn with smaller needles the cowl will be more snug. If knit with worsted or double knit yarn with larger needles the cowl will be bigger.

I knit the large size with fingering 4ply yarn on size 2.50 mm circular needles and the ribs on 2.25mm circular needles.
