This is a very quick and fun pattern for a one-skein textured beanie using bulky yarn.

The texture of this beanie is made using fpdc, bpdc, and camel stitch (hdc in 3rd loop).

This size best fits an average adult small (22” head circumference) but can be easily adjusted by changing hook size or increasing/decreasing crown diameter.

I made the pictured hats using one skein of Big Twist Fleck from Joann Fabric. It is a bulky size 5 yarn that comes in skeins of 109 yards. I used almost all of the yarn and had enough to sew on the pompom and tag with a small amount leftover. The pictured colors are red and gray.

When joining the rounds, I use a strategy that minimizes the appearance of a “seam” where the rounds are joined. I also alternate between joined rounds and continuous rounds to make the different textures have a smooth transition at the joins. All instructions are clearly explained in the pattern. :slightly_smiling_face:
