This design is a tribute to the medicinal qualities of my favorite herbs. There are so many herbs used for healing and balancing but these are the herbs I have used the most in my Midwifery practice and I wanted to honor their power for healing as well as their beauty. The lining is made with super soft Farmer’s Daughter Oh Dang and is optional… but if warm and cozy is your goal…neccessary. Herbs in order from bottom to top are: Nettles, Red Clover, Skullcap, Fennel, Fenugreek, Raspberry Leaf and Chasteberry.

I also lined my version with a colorwork uterine motif in Oh Dang.

Oh Dang is a bit tricky to work with several colors so if you are new to colorwork, I would recommend doing a solid lining if you want to line your cowl.
