Wisp Mittens feature lots of texture in twisted stitches and garter for a cozy, fast, and fun project. Use a strand of DK weight held along with laceweight mohair for a soft and fluffy halo, or sub in your favorite worsted weight yarn you already have stashed. Three sizes make these perfect for anyone on your gift list. Choose a favorite solid or semi solid color to show off your stitch work!

This pattern assumes knowledge of working in the round, working twisted stitches, increases, and decreases. Both charts and written directions are provided for all stitch patterns. A video tutorial link is included for the twisted decreases used in the pattern.

Suggested Yarn: Apple Fiber Studio Jonagold held with Moondrake Co. Mohair Lace, or other yarn that knits to gauge.
Recommend DK held with laceweight mohair or worsted weight on its own.

Sizes: S (M, L) to fit hand circumference up to 7 (7.75, 8.5)” / 18 (19.5, 21.5) cm
Measure around the palm of your hand, excluding thumb, at the base of your knuckles.

Yarn Requirements: 175 (190, 210) yds / 160 (174, 192) m of each yarn

Gauge: 22 sts and 28 rounds = 4” / 10 cm in 1x1 Twist Rib

Needles and Notions: US 3 / 3.25 mm DPNs, stitch markers, stitch holder, tapestry needle

Note: Mohair/silk blends have little stretch, which can make your gauge a little looser than typical. If subbing in a for a single strand of worsted weight, consider going up a needle size.
