When I was a child, across the street from my home was a charming 19th century cottage, one replete with a white picket fence, welcoming front porch, and climbing wisteria vines. When I saw the “Purpleicioius” 50 Shades of Gradient, with its varying hues of purple and lavender, this Wisteria Cottage, a reminder of simpler and happier times, came to mind.

This is a half-octogon lace shawl, worked from the neck downwards. The lace repeat is simple and straightforward, and the bobbles are only worked across 1 row, on the bottom edging of the shawl. The pattern includes charts, as well as line-by-line written instructions.
