It’s an asymmetrical triangle shawl - With a Twist! The twisted rows add visual texture and interest, and provide the perfect counterpoint to the mindless flat rows. Color blocking adds a modern touch, though the shawl also looks amazing when worked in a single color. Customize the shawl to add twisted rows at any point or to adjust the size!

Sample
Blue/gray/cream sample used Expression Fiber Arts Alpaca Silk DK (DK weight; 50% alpaca/50% silk; 230yds/100g), 920yds/400g in Dover Castle Hues set

Purple/red/pink sample used Expression Fiber Arts Alpaca Silk DK (DK weight; 50% alpaca/50% silk; 230yds/100g), 920yds/400g in No Place Like Home

Yarn, Yardage, and Colors
The pattern calls for 4 skeins of DK. The sample uses four different colors and there are notes for changing colors as shown in the sample and notes for adjusting the placement of the color changes. The pattern will look equally amazing in a solid or tonal color, a gradient, or a self-striping with long color changes. Variegated yarns will work well on the flat rows, but the twisted texture will get lost with too much color variegation.

The pattern will work wonderfully in just about any weight, from lace to bulky, and includes adjustment notes so you can work it at any gauge and to match any yardage.

Construction
The shawl is worked side-to-side to form an asymmetrical triangle. It’s worked seamlessly, in one piece.
