With Arms Outstretched is an asymmetrical triangle shawl that alternates between a geometric mosaic pattern and an easy to memorize lace pattern. There are some pretty awesome things about this shawl, no floats, no purling and it utilizes almost all your yarn, so no leftovers!
While gauge is not usually important with shawls, it is for this design. I intentionally designed it to use as much of each color as possible, so it is important to check your gauge!

Or any other fingering/sport weight yarn with which you can achieve gauge.
Color A - Flashdance used approximately 375y/109g.
Color B - Moonglow used approximately 372y/108g.
Color C - Star Scatter used approximately 384y/111g.
Please note these are estimates only, and adjustments to the pattern and gauge may alter these numbers.

Tools, Gauge & Finished Measurements:
US size 6 (4.00mm) 40” (100cm) circular needle, the long cable will accommodate your shawl as it grows.
Use the needle size that gives you gauge with the yarn that you are using.
Locking stitch marker to indicate the right side of your fabric.
A darning needle to weave in ends.

22 stitches by 56 rows is equal to 4” (10cm) in garter stitch after blocking.
Shawl measures 84” (213cm) long by 20” (51cm) deep after blocking.
