Wolu is a basic oversized drop shoulder stripes sweater. Because it has 8 stripes on each part this pattern is called “Wolu” which means number 8 in the Javanese language. This sweater was designed to have unique shoulder construction, folded neckband, and slit hem.

Introduction
This sweater is worked seamlessly from the top down. Start by working on the back piece, picked up on each shoulder, then join together to work in the round. The stripes pattern worked while working on the body and finished by making slits on each side and bound off after making twisted rib. The sleeves are worked by picking up the sts on the armholes and work in the round while at the same time, stripes and decreases are worked together. The neckband is picked up on the neckline then joined to work in the round in twisted rib. Finally, the sweater finished after folding the neckband and bound off together with the picked up sts around the neckline inside.
