The Wonderfully Made Socks are the first pattern in my Wonderfully Made Collection. These toe-up socks incorporate a removable provisional cast-on, wrap and turn short rows, knit, purl, and knit in the round. Directions are written for a contrasting toe and heel, but the socks can also be worked all in one color.

Pattern assumes knitter is already familiar with sock construction and provisional cast on.

Yarn requirements are 200 yards/183 meters of main color and an optional 50 yards/46 meters of a contrast color for the toes and heels. Other supplies needed include stitch markers, tapestry needle, small crochet hook and scrap yarn for provisional cash on.

Gauge is 34 stitches to 4in/10cm in stockinette stitch in the round on a US2/2.75mm.

There are three sizes, which are determined by circumference: Small 6.5in/16.5mm around, Medium 7.5in/19cm around, Large 8.5in/21.6cm around (measure the ball of your foot and choose the size that gives about 2in/5cm of negative ease)
