This pattern makes a comfortable headband with flaps to keep your ears covered, and a lining to help keep your head warm.
It is started with Judy’s Magic Cast On with 2 circular needles.
The outside layer is knit first, with a Latvian Braid and short row shaping for the ear flaps, then the lining is knit.
The outer band and lining are knit together at the top of the headband, and finished with a second Latvian braid.
Check out my free Cup Cozy with Latvian Braid pattern to fix the “jog” in the braid.

Instructions are for 3 sizes:
54 cm or 21 3/8 inches
57.5 cm or 22 5/8 inches
61 cm or 24 inches

There are five colors of yarn needed to complete the pattern.
This is a great project to use up leftovers!
