Pattern is advanced beginner to intermediate level. Skills required include stockinette and garter stitches, k2tog, ssk, m1 and kfb increases, bobbles, short rows (optional), picking up stitches, binding off, and sewing seams. Embroidered decoration on clothes is optional. All pieces are knit flat, then seamed, stuffed, and assembled.

Toy Materials
50 g of brown worsted weight yarn (A), 15-20 g of contrasting worsted weight yarn (B), 10 g of white worsted weight yarn (C, optional), pair of 4 mm (US size 6) knitting needles, pair of 9 mm black safety eyes or buttons, stuffing, yarn to embroider face, tapestry needle
Gauge: 5.5 sts and 7 rows per 2.5 cm (1”) in st st

Outfit Materials
15 g of worsted weight yarn in colour B, 30 g of fingering weight yarn in colour D, 30 g of fingering weight yarn in colour E, pair of 3 mm, 3.25 mm and 4 mm (US size 2.5, 3, 6) knitting needles, tapestry needle, contrasting yarn or narrow ribbon or small crochet hook (for ties).
Gauge: 7 sts and 9 rows per 2.5 cm (1”) in st st on 3.25 mm needles (worsted weight yarn is used with 4 mm needles, so gauge is same as for toy)
