It’s a real treat to go for a walk in our local woodland and spot a Roe Deer. Having made this cushion cover I can now see one anytime I like (even if it’s not quite like the excitement of seeing the real thing).

My Deer is wearing a lovely Rust and Fawn coat which shows up really well on the Teal background so he’s easy to see for a change! He has some frineds too and you can find them in my other patterns.

The back of the cushion features diagonal and horizontal stripes.

The finished cushion measures around 16 inches/45 cm. It fastens with four buttons (1&1/4 inches/3cm) and takes around 400g/560 metres of Chunky yarn, in this case Stylecraft Special Chunky which comes in a wonderful range of colours just in case you fancy a more camouflaged look. I used 5 colours: Teal (133g shade 1062), Copper (36g shade 1029), Cream (42g shade 1005), Black (137g shade 1002), Camel (27g shade 1420) and a 5mm crochet hook.

Charts and full written instructions are included. Pattern is written in English.

I’m based in the United Kingdom and use UK terminology for my patterns. This cushion uses UK Double Crochet (dc) or US Single Crochet (sc) throughout
