A spectacular shawl design incorporating motifs of woodland animals (fox, boar, stag, badger and otter) hidden in a tangle of foliage and curling vines.

The Woodland Friends Shawl pattern is divided into 86 easy-to-follow charts. The rear section is knit flat and the main front panels are knit in the round with steeks either side.

The shawl uses 450 g (2800 yards/2600m) of the main colour and 350g (2200 yards/2000m) of the lighter contrast colour. The photos show elderberry and goldcrest shades.

This shawl is a one-size-fits-all garment. The finished measurements are: 165 cm /65 inches in length from the tip to the foot and 112 cm/44 inches across at the widest point.
