dk / weight 3 yarn. I used Emu Classic DK (282m per 100g) in pumpkin, white and black for fox, pecan for bear and paintbox simply dk (276m per 100g) in soft fudge and cream for the bunny set.

With 4mm hook
Row 1: Ch12, dc in 4th ch from hook and each chain across. (9) Turn
Rows 2-4: ch1, dc in base of ch1, dc 8. (9) Turn

Square should measure 2 inch wide by 2 inch tall.

If you have problems hitting the length this is not too important, as the measurement will be given to follow at each stage of the romper, so you can add extra rounds if needed.
