This very soft, warm, simple, yet beautiful hat will keep you very cosy for those frosty winter mornings! The textured pattern adds both thickness and charm, and makes for an interesting project to make, wear or gift..!
The hat is crocheted from the crown down, in the round, and comes in three sizes, but its size is easily adjustable to your own preference, as you can try it as you go!
The simple cable is a very effective textured stitch, and it makes for a very quick and easy project to rustle up!

Materials:
1 x 100g skein of Polwarth DK by Right Side Yarns (100% Polwarth Superwash, approx. 230m / 251yds) in “Watercolour” shade.
4mm (Small) / 4.5mm (Medium) / 5mm (Large) crochet hook
1 lockable stitch marker

Finished Size:
Small: approximately 19” circumference and 7” deep
Medium: approximately 20” circumference and 7.5 “ deep
Large: approximately 22” circumference and 8” deep.
Please note that the depth / length of the hat is easily adjustable, as you can try the hat on as you go and decide how long you prefer it to be. The stitch and wool used are also quite stretchy, and it is best worn a little snug on the head so that the stitch pattern stands out.

Crochet Tension / Gauge:
Tension is not critical for this project, as the yarn is quite stretchy, but here are some measurements useful for guidance as you crochet: at the end of Round 6, the crown should measure approximately 3.5” (Small), 4” (Medium), and 4.5” (Large) in diameter.
