Looking at all the gradient color shawls popping up all over the internet recently I wanted to create my own version. Browsing through my stash unveiled nothing usable but five leftover skeins of Katia Alpaca Andes, a DK weight Alpaca yarn.

I also had some protein dyes at home so I asked my better half if he had some spare time for trying to dye a few gradient skeins.

The sample shawl has been finished on the day the upcoming 50th anniversary of Woodstock festival was featured on the radio and Steve joked around all the time how much it looked like a typical hippie shawl, hence its name.

Finished Size
55 x 39 in (140 x 100 cm) after blocking. Size is completely adjustable.
