Cover your canine companion in waffle textured stitches with the Woofy Waffle Sweater! This pattern is knit with DK weight yarn and an easy textured stitch pattern. Choose between nine sizes from petite pups to big breeds and enjoy the seamless construction starting at the neck and knitting toward the body. The pattern includes several sizing notes to help you customize your chosen size to perfectly fit your pup. The length of the yoke, body, and legs are very easy to customize by working more or fewer sections of the textured stitches. There is an optional harness hole in the pattern, so you can style the sweater on top of your dog’s harness. Increases along the back and short rows help lengthen the back of the sweater, resulting in a sweater fit that is equal parts cute and functional.

Sizes
1 (2, 3, 4, 5) (6, 7, 8, 9)

Size 3 shown on the white French Bulldog named Stitch with an actual Girth (chest) circumference of 18″ / 46cm.
Size 4 shown on the black French Bulldog named Brioche with an actual Girth (chest) circumference of 22″ / 56cm.

Finished Measurements
12.5 (16, 18.5, 23, 26) (31, 34.5, 39, 42)″ / 32 (41, 47, 58, 66) (79, 88, 99, 107)cm Girth (chest) circumference (measured around the thickest part of their chest). Measurements taken after blocking.

The length is customizable. Refer to the schematic illustrations for the other measurements. The pattern includes notes where you can customize the sizes of the sweater to fit your pup. The smaller sizes are designed for petite pups like Chihuahuas, Shih Tzus, and little Terriers and the sizes increase to fit breeds ranging from French Bulldogs and Dachshunds to Boxers, Labradors, and Great Danes. If your dog’s Girth/chest circumference measures more than 42″ / 107cm, then this pattern is easy to customize by adding more increase rounds for a larger size. You can also adjust your needle size to get a smaller or larger size.

I recommend selecting a size that is approximately 1″ / 2.5cm or 2″ / 5cm larger than your dog’s actual chest circumference for a fit with a little bit of extra wiggle room or select the size that matches your dog’s exact chest circumference for a fitted sweater. If you plan to wear the sweater on top of a harness most of the time, then measure your dog while wearing the harness.

For the best measuring results, use as soft tape measure.
