Wooldancer Collier by Michelle Snowdon

Wooldancer Collier

There are fewer joys for me than to create simple & striking handspun yarn designs. Even more so when the results are as instant as this nifty super-coil yarn pattern.

This discovery came to me one evening when, after being home-bound with baby twins for 2 years, I needed a new accessory for an outfit, Pronto! I was spinning up a supercoil yarn, and knew there was no time to knit or crochet even the smallest necklette. I was keen to harness the excess twist energy present in super-coil yarn. I took the coiled yarn off the bobbin, gave it a special twist & lo, i had my new instant Collier Accessory!

I showed it to Lexi and she asked me to pop the collier into the pattern section of her book. The whole process from discovery to publication happened very organically. My best designs occur out of a practical need for the object & a push for deadlines!

If you would like a simple & fun way to use your supercoil yarn, please refer to Lexi’s book Intertwined. The design is copyrighted for personal use & enjoyment, so please do not sell them.

I take custom orders & sell the Wooldancer Collier from my site www.wooldancer.etsy.com
