I have always loved Woolly Mammoths, Mastodons, and all their massive relatives—I mean have you seen what a Gomphothere looks like? Wild. The Ice Age was such an interesting time for mammals, and this cowl with it’s Mammoths and Woolly Rhinos celebrates just a teeny tiny slice of what made it fascinating!

TECHNIQUES UTILIZED

This pattern is worked with stranded colorwork, where floats are caught every few stitches at the back your work. Other unique techniques utilized in this pattern include:

Split Single Crochet (Waistcoat Stitch) - Used for the colorwork chart, gives the appearance of knitted fabric

Front and Back Post Double Crochet - Used for top and bottom hem, gives the appearance of ribbing
