This is a pattern for both an angel and a reindeer Christmas stocking using fair isle technique and knitting in the round. There are lots of photos showing the cast on, the heel and the toe.

The size will depend on the yarn used, I recommend aran/ worsted weight yarn or thicker.

It is an advantage if you know how to knit socks and/ or knit fair isle patterns.
